Explore the beautiful village of Mytikas

The historic land of Etoloakarnania envied the green emerald sea and decided to dive, to steal some of its beauty. Thus Mytikas, the fairytale fishing village, was created. It is built on a narrow strip of land surrounded by the blue waters of the Ionian Sea, opposite the island of Kalamos, near Lefkada.

Mytikas is a relatively new village. Residents of the surrounding area and mountain villages organized the settlement at the beginning of the 19th century. It is a picturesque village, with deep roots in the land of Xiromero, surrounded by high mountains and with its face turned towards the rejuvenating sea breeze.
